One Thing to Know
The Buck Mountain fire tower was built by Whitney industries to keep watch on the lands of Whitney Park. The tower is located on private land and a conservation easement was acquired by the Town of Long Lake to allow public access. The tower was refurbished by the Town which opened the trail in 2024.
